Winter Nights

Changing Gears:
There have been so many different changes in the last three months that I have no idea where to begin. There have been sudden and surprising developments as things have shifted to a new city and a new support system. I've now learned first-hand that making movies is about managing all sorts of chaos, but things can get extremely interesting and rewarding if you can somehow endure the crazy, unpredictable nature of the process and continue to press forward toward the ultimate goal. I suppose the most important thing I've realized is that working with trustworthy people is the only way to make any progress in this field, and thankfully I know some very good people who have helped the production as I've changed gears and slipped into the producing aspect of the film.
I've started to assemble the crew and have filled two key positions with two extremely talented people. There's the dp, Dan Kanes, one of those tech-savvy masterminds who works wonders with a little camera called the Canon EOS 5d Mark II (which has now replaced the Red for this production, not only because of cost, but because the image quality is f*cking stunning), and The Aspect Ratio's very own Yuki Aizawa, who will cut together all those beautiful images in post. The other exciting news is that principle casting is almost complete, so in the next week or so I'll be able to introduce the cast. It's coming together.
