After the way things have gone down this month, and based on a few questionable opinions I've read from various online sources regarding some prestigous upcoming releases, I'd like to post a quote I noticed on HollywoodElsewhere from Steven Soderbergh. I think it's a quote that perfectly sums up the way I feel about the critical establishment at the moment, and after the painful reaction to a certain escapist fantasy that's on its way OUT of theaters right now (don't expect me to shut up about this any time soon) and the very mixed/negative reactions to Charlie Kaufman's directorial debut Synecdoche, NY (wildly ambitious screenplay) and Soderbergh's own 4 hour Che epic, I think it's something to consider.

The trailer screams "Oscar!", but I like the scope and tone of the imagery, and Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman are more than capable actors.
