James Cameron discusses his new sci-fi thriller Avatar.

I'm intrigued by the concept of the film, and Steven Soderbergh recently praised some early footage he was shown if you can excuse the hypberbole ("that's the craziest shit I've ever seen"), but will it work as a regular 2d experience is the real question for me. I'm not big on 3d, nor am I fan of motion-capture animation. That said, movies like The Abyss and Titanic are technical marvels, so we'll see.
