Interesting piece of news. Tom Tykwer and the Wachowski brothers are working together on an adaptation of the novel Cloud Atlas, which wikipedia tells me is some sort of science-fiction novel with various storylines set between the 19th Century and a post apocalyptic future.

Bizarre mix of sensibilities, but I'm excited to see what they cook up. Tykwer will direct.
