The remake machine plows forward with The Day the Earth Stood Still. Just because it's easy to remake classic science-ficton films doesn't mean it's necessary. I love Keanu Reeves, and the great Jennifer Connelly is one of the most talented and underused actresses working today, but this trailer makes it clear the film has nothing to offer besides dull fx money shots, familiar dialogue, cheap frights, etc. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's really disappointing to see another classic treated this way.
