I attended an early screening of David Gordon Green and Judd Apatow's Pineapple Express. The people who introduced the film said it was the final cut of the movie, and I know they've been screening it around the country for the last few months to see how it plays. I enjoyed most of it, especially James Franco's performance as the spaced, drug-dealing man-child, Saul. He's basically Brad Pitt from True Romance, but with a larger role.

Seth Rogen is amusing, the plot is nonsense, there's a lot of gunplay, fight sequences and loud music....it's that sort of movie. I'd say it's very good for what it is, maybe a bit too long and not entirely obnoxious. A few big laughs come from the relationship between Rogen and his 18-year-old girlfriend, and as I said, Franco is pretty amusing the whole way through. If you've seen the red band trailer, then you've basically seen the film.
