Michael Mann's Public Enemies may just be my most anticipated film of next year. Just the idea of Mann directing a period thriller is enough to get me interested, but a film about John Dillinger with Johnny Depp in the lead? Yes, please.
Mann's attention to detail is always meticulous, and I can't wait to see what particular style he uses for this story. And is he shooting in hd like he did for Collateral (a brilliant little thriller) and Miami Vice? Or is he using film to give it the texture of an old Hollywood gangster classic? This film can't get here soon enough. |
