This trailer is closest to matching the tone and style I expected after reading the screenplay. It knows exactly what it is. The only thing this movie wants to be is exciting, funny, ridiculous and visually spectacular. I love the retro-futuristic vibe, and the racing looks incredible. ..................................... You have to give it up for visionary escapist entertainment. Two trailers for the Wachowski brothers' Speed Racer. There's this one, which is pretty neat. And there's this one, which made my day. Give them a special Oscar for visual effects. This thing looks wild.
