It's no secret that I'm fond of the entire film noir movement. I attended the Noir Fest at the Egyptian last year in LA and have reviewed or at least discussed many of my favorite classics in the two years I've had the site. One of my first ideas was to have a noir series where we review or analyze both seminal and obscure movies from the golden age of the movement (late '30s - mid/late '50s), but whatever reason, I got sidetracked with other ideas and never followed my introduction to the feature.

However, the good folks at MovieZeal have surely outclassed any concept I had with their brilliantly in-depth Noir Month. Not only is this the best collection of reviews you'll find online for film noir, but it's arguably the finest film criticism you'll read online or in print anwhere at all right now. These are exceptional essays whether you fully agree with them or not. Amazing work. Give it a read.
